讓步狀語從句是狀語從句中的一種，通常翻譯為“盡管……”、“即使……”。讓步狀語從句的特點是該句在翻譯后能體現出退一步思考的感覺。

讓步狀語從句常見引導詞although,though,even if,even though,as,while,whether,no matter what,whatever,no matter who,whoever no matter which, no matter when,however,whenever,in spite of the fact that等等。上述引導詞均可作為判斷讓步狀語從句的標志，當我們在一個英語句子中看到上述詞語時，就要立刻聯想并判斷這個句子是否是讓步狀語從句。

E.g:Though he is tired after work，he still insist on reading Newspapers everyday.

盡管他下班后很累，他仍堅持每天讀報紙。

使用讓步狀語從句的注意點

在使用讓步狀語從句時，我們應注意避免以下幾點，做到準確的表達。

1.使用as作為讓步狀語從句的引導詞時，必須使用倒裝結構，即把從句中的狀語、表語或謂語動詞放在句首。

2.當使用although,though作為連接詞引導讓步狀語從句時，一定不可以與but連用，但可以和yet ,still ,nevertheless連用。

3."no matter+疑問詞"或"疑問詞–ever"可當作判斷讓步狀語從句的模板具體如下，

no matter what=whatever “無論什么……”

no matter who=whoever“無論是誰……”

no matter when=whenever “無論何時……”

no matter where=wherever“無論何地……”

no matter which=whichever “無論哪個……”

no matter how=however“無論怎樣……”在讓步狀語從句中，等號左右兩邊的表達可以互換。

4.while引導讓步狀語從句時，相當于although,只能放在句首。

E.g:While he is ugly，he is smart.

雖然他很丑，但是很聰明

5.當用whether……or……(不管……是否……)來連接讓步狀語從句時，前后所說必須為相反的兩個事物。

E.g:Whether you want or not，you must stay home tomorrow.

無論你是否愿意，明天你必須待在家里。

while引導讓步狀語從句時，意義上相當于although,只能放在句首。

While(Although) he is ugly，he is smart.

雖然他很丑，但是很聰明。
