我們今天講的英語(yǔ)繪本故事叫做《where the wild things are》。它是一部?jī)和裣肭霭嬗?963年，是非常早的經(jīng)典。
當(dāng)當(dāng)當(dāng)當(dāng)！看到了吧，小主人公 Max 登場(chǎng)了，他穿著狼外套在家里胡鬧。大家在家里胡鬧的時(shí)候，爸爸媽媽會(huì)怎么樣呢？ Max的媽媽可是要收拾他了：不許吃晚飯，直接上床睡覺(jué)去！
聽(tīng)到這樣的話，誰(shuí)會(huì)高興呢？Max要逃了，他逃到哪里了呢？我們快來(lái)跟上他！
Where The Wild Things Are
野獸出沒(méi)的地方

那晚麥克斯穿著狼服，做出了一種惡作劇。
and another,
又做了一個(gè)惡作劇，
His mother called him "wild thing!"
他媽媽叫他：“野獸！”
and Max said "I'll eat you up!"
麥克斯說(shuō)：“我要把你吃掉！”
So he was sent to bed without eating anything.
所以他被送到床上，什么也沒(méi)吃。
That very night in Max's room a forest grew.
就在那天晚上，麥克斯的房間里長(zhǎng)了一片森林。
and grew-
長(zhǎng)啊長(zhǎng)...
and grew until his ceiling hung with vines，
一直長(zhǎng)到天花板上掛滿藤蔓
and the walls became the world all around.
墻壁消失在了世界的邊緣。
and an ocean tumbled by with a private boat for Max,
一片大海翻滾而過(guò)，為馬克斯準(zhǔn)備了一艘私家船，
and he sailed off through night and day,
他日夜航行，
and in and out of weeks,
一個(gè)星期又一個(gè)星期，
and almost over a year,
差不多一年多了，
to where the wild things are.
到了一個(gè)有野生動(dòng)物的地方。
And when he came to the place where the whild things are,
當(dāng)他來(lái)到世界的地方，
they roared their terrible roars and gnashed their terrible teeth,
他們吼叫著，咬牙切齒，
and rolled their terrible eyes and showed their terrible claws.
轉(zhuǎn)動(dòng)他們可怕的眼睛，露出可怕的爪子。
Till Max said "be still!" and tamed them with the magic trick of staring into all their yellow eyes without blinking once and they were frightened and called him the most wild thing of all.
直到馬克斯說(shuō)“別動(dòng)！”用一種魔法馴服了他們，眼睛一眨也不眨地盯著他們所有的黃眼睛，他們嚇了一跳，叫他野獸之王。
and made hime king of all wild things.
現(xiàn)在他成了野獸之王。
"And now," cried Max,"let the wild rumpus start!"
“現(xiàn)在，”麥克斯喊，“讓野獸們鬧起來(lái)吧！”
"Now stop!" Max said and sent the wild things off bed without their supper.
“現(xiàn)在停下來(lái)！”麥克斯說(shuō)，把那些野性的東西打發(fā)下床，沒(méi)有吃晚飯。
And Max the king of all wild things was lonely and wanted to be where someone loved him best of all.
野生動(dòng)物之王馬克斯很孤獨(dú)，他想去一個(gè)最?lèi)?ài)他的地方。
Then all around from far away across the world he smelled good thing to eat
然后他從世界各地聞到了好吃的味道
so he gave up being king of where the wild thing are.
所以他決定放棄在這個(gè)野獸出沒(méi)的地方當(dāng)國(guó)王了。
But the wild thing cried,"Oh please don't go-we'll eat you up-we love you so!"
但是那野東西叫道：“哦，請(qǐng)別走，我們會(huì)把你吃光的，我們太愛(ài)你了！”
And Max said,"No!"
麥克斯說(shuō)：“不！”
The wild things roared their terrible and gnashed their terrible teeth and rolled their their terrible eye and showed their terrible claws,
野獸發(fā)出可怕的吼叫，磨著可怕的牙齒，轉(zhuǎn)動(dòng)可怕的眼睛，露出可怕的爪子，
but Max stepped into his private boat and waved good-bye.
但是馬克斯走進(jìn)他的私人船揮手告別。
and sailed back over a year,
然后他航行了一年，
and in and out of weeks,
一個(gè)星期又一個(gè)星期，
and through a day,
經(jīng)過(guò)白天，
and into the night of his very own room,
又回到了他自己房間的那個(gè)夜晚，
where he found his supper waiting for him,
他發(fā)現(xiàn)晚餐等著他，
and it was still hot.
而飯還是熱的。
小編思考
媽媽不經(jīng)意的一個(gè)稱(chēng)呼：“小野獸”，讓孩子真的把自己想成了野獸群的一員，好在孩子還是愛(ài)媽媽更多，最終回到了現(xiàn)實(shí)，回到了溫暖的飯菜旁邊。
釋放天性，愛(ài)冒險(xiǎn)，愛(ài)家庭，可以很好地融合在一起，所以爸爸媽媽要靜下心來(lái)體會(huì)孩子的心理，盡可能尊重和引導(dǎo)孩子，而不是簡(jiǎn)單粗暴地給孩子貼標(biāo)簽。
給孩子一方天地，大膽成為自己，最終他們會(huì)更愛(ài)你。
